My Future Vision

I still have much to improve on, but I would love to have a career in art or animation. I do very much love to draw and have been scribbling down characters in colored pencil since the fifth grade. Doing something that I am so deeply passionate about would be an actual dream come true! I also enjoy fictional writing, and I have been told that I am fairly good at it, so a career involving that would be just as incredible. Being involved in activism would be pretty great, too! There are a few other things that I am interested in, like teaching, but those are lower on my list. Some have told me that aiming to be a college writing professor is a good idea, so when it comes to being practical, that's my goal.

When it comes to college, I don't quite have everything figured out, but majoring in either art or creative writing would be fantastic. I think that, at the moment, Cal State Long Beach is somewhere I am interested in going if I do end up deciding to focus my abilities and studies on art. Pomona College in California seems promising when it comes to writing and seems to have fairly positive feedback, so it would be really nice to be able to attend school there sometime in the near future.

I just hope that when I'm older, I will have learned a lot throughout life, and gotten better at what I love. I do not need to be perfect; I just want to do what I love in a small house (preferably somewhere far away with nice scenery, away from big, obnoxious cities) and be able to surround myself with what I care about. That's all I really need, honestly. It is not often that people get to do what they love, and if I get even a sliver of a chance to do that, then I won't hesitate to take it and run. I will have to work hard, be diligent, have my priorities in check, and I will have to refuse to give up over something as minuscule as one simple assignment. It's hard but, as they say, that's life. I may have a lot to learn to get to where I want to be, but it will all be worth it in the end.
